Who is Nicky’s mum in Emmerdale? 3 possible suspects as link to Frank Tate uncovered

Fans were shocked when Emmerdale newbie Nicky (played by Lewis Cope) revealed his true identity on the ITV soap opera. Nicky questioned his father Caleb Milligan’s (Will Ash) motivations during tense exchanges with him after accusing him of being sidetracked by Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi). When the nanny questioned his dad about what his mother might think, Caleb reminded him that they were no longer married.

Do you mind if I tell my mother? As he questioned Caleb about spending the night at Leyla’s, Nicky became furious.

After the show, though, viewers took to social media to offer their theories about Nicky’s mother and Caleb’s ex-wife.

Zoe Tate

Frank Tate’s daughter, Zoe Tate (Leah Bracknell), debuted on the serial opera in 1989. Frank Tate was played by Norman Bowler.

During her time in the hamlet, she took part in a number of significant plotlines, including the passing of her brother Chris Tate (Peter Amory) and father Frank.

She also had to deal with her stepmother Kim’s treachery and departure (played by Claire King), her coming out as a lesbian, and her struggle with schizophrenia.

After her father’s passing, Zoe had a rocky love life and experienced grief. Zoe started talking to her deceased father after starting an affair with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), and she ultimately set fire to the church.

She had intercourse with Scott Windsor (Ben Freeman) during one of her early psychotic episodes but was unaware of the encounter. Later, she was sectioned, given a schizophrenia diagnosis, and found out she was pregnant.

Zoe debated placing her child up for adoption, but ultimately decided to retain her child, giving birth to a girl named Jean (Megan Pearson).

After going through the attempted murder trial, the vet made the decision to leave the village with her children.

Zoe broke a gas pipe and departed Home Farm with a bang after being rescued by Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

After sleeping with Caleb, who is also the son of Frank Tate, Zoe might be Nicky’s mother.

Without knowing they were half-siblings, the pair could have had a passionate night together.

Kerry Wyatt

Given that they are both Geordies, some fans tend to believe Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) might be Nicky’s mother.

Additionally, it has just come to light that Kerry has a second unborn child, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), who is currently carrying Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) kid.

After learning that her beloved Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) was having an affair with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Kerry departed the village.

When she learns Caleb and Nicky are in the village, she might experience the shock of her life.

Amy Wyatt’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) estranged mother Kerry arrived in the Dales in 2012.

Following a succession of unsuccessful partnerships in the village, she has likewise had bad luck in love.

In an effort to keep her boyfriend Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) interested, Amy even pretended to be pregnant.

Could she be concealing a second child if she already has one?

Tina Dingle

Being the half-brother of Chas and Cain (played by Jeff Hordley), Caleb already has a connection to the Dingles.

Frank Tate was Caleb’s father and Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter), whom he never got to meet, was his mother.

The only daughter and youngest child of Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Nellie (Sandra Gough), Tina Marie Dingle, was also related to Caleb’s father.

She made her first and last appearances in the village in December 1994 and 1996, respectively.

After Tina was hired as rich Frank’s assistant, she quickly became the family’s bad apple.

Tina has resided in London since leaving the town; Zak has made a few references to her; and it is presumed that she married around 1997.

Given that Caleb’s past is unknown, it is possible that he met Tina while she was working for Frank and they got married before their union fell apart.
