Will the trio be able to escape?
Following yesterday’s massive automobile tragedy, Home and Away has foreshadowed what’s to come, revealing that “lives hang in the balance.”
The long-running series aired a triple bill in Australia last evening (Thursday, July 22), in which Nikau Parata, Dean Thompson, and Mia Anderson were involved in a catastrophic accident after swerving to avoid a kangaroo on the road.
The former was pushed out of the truck while the others were stuck inside as it teetered on a cliff’s edge, and news of the incident has found its way back to Summer Bay in the soap’s latest teaser.
While Nikau’s uncle Ari is concerned about Mia (Anna Samson) and the couple’s unborn child, Bella Nixon is anxious about her ex-boyfriend Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor), fearing she would never be able to tell Nikau that she still loves him.
Nikau cheated on her with Sienna Blake, and the two recently had an unpleasant incident when she denied him when he tried to kiss her during a casual discussion.
Back at the crash site, a wounded Nikau tries to flag down a passing car, but he falls shortly after starting to wave. Later in the trailer, we see Dean almost passing out in an ambulance and Nikau in a severe form in the hospital, while Mia’s health is kept hidden.
Harley Bonner as Dr. Logan Bennett, who is involved in the rescue sequences, is also introduced in the trailer.
All of the aforementioned sequences are set to appear in Australia in two weeks, following the Tokyo Olympics, then in the United Kingdom in September.
Home and Away airs on Channel 5 (UK) weekdays at 1.15 pm and 6 pm and on Channel 7 (UK) Monday to Thursday at 7 pm (Australia). a collection of classic episodes
