The 50th anniversary of the soap opera Emmerdale will be marked by “sensational” storylines, according to Emmerdale star Mark Charnock.
Emmerdale viewers are aware that a significant month of surprises is forthcoming to commemorate the ITV soap’s significant achievement.
There have been rumors of a birth in the village, and Emmerdale executive Jane Hudson has already promised the return of several old favorites.
We had the opportunity to question Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona Goskirk in this show, and Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, at a press event LeedsLive attended at the Eccup headquarters.
However, they largely avoided discussing the details of the plans.
“We don’t know them,” Zoe remarked (the storylines). I honestly don’t know anything about the 50th because we just receive the scripts for the roles we are playing. We watched Zoe turn to co-star Mark and inquire, “Do you?”
Marlon Dingle responded, “We’ve just received an email from them” (the scripts). They just got there, and it’s honestly nothing short of fantastic.
“It is amazing in every way. One of those “oh woah!” moments.
The key stories appear to be worth the wait, even though we may not know much more about what is planned for Emmerdale’s 50th. When we learn more, we’ll let you know.
