Kym Marsh’s Corrie wedding dress among set donated to Stockport charity shop

Wedding gowns worn in Coronation Street will once again be available for future brides to wear after being donated to a Stockport charity store.

A number of the gowns have been placed on sale at the Stockport St. Ann’s Hospice charity store, which has a second-floor specialty bridal area.

Customers have the opportunity to try on and even buy the well-known gowns worn by actors from the soap opera, including Kym Marsh and Catherine Tyldesley, giving them the chance to tie the knot in a historic moment for Corrie.

Numerous brides-to-be have the chance to obtain one of the unique dresses because many of the gowns are purchased in bulk for the filming.

“We know people love to recycle and be more environmentally responsible, so we love to promote this to make sure our brides get dresses that are secondhand and in fantastic shape,” says Jules Lamb, acting manager of the Bridal and Vintage store.

“The money paid for each outfit is extremely crucial in supporting and donating to St Ann’s Hospice, which provides end-of-life care for many individuals in Greater Manchester.”

Tuesday through Saturday, fitting appointments are available throughout the day. The store also offers accessories to match, a nearby recommended seamstress, and services for the mother of the bride and bridesmaids.
