Joe Duttine on ‘last thing he wants’ with co-star wife Sally Carman: ‘It would be a disaster’

One thing, according to actor Joe Duttine, he doesn’t want to happen with his new wife Sally Carman.

The Coronation Street co-stars wed last week and had a blissful honeymoon in Italy.

Joe, though, has ruled out the possibility of one future event involving the couple.

Joe Duttine: It would be disastrous to use Sally Carman as a movie love interest.

It’s possible that his character Tim Metcalfe and Abi Webster from Sally’s story lived together.

Having a life apart from the Street is good.

Joe, though, believes that this is the closest the recentlyweds should get.

Joe believes that it would be strange to portray their on-screen romance.

That’s the last thing Sally and I want, he said, according to Inside Soap magazine.

“It’d be a catastrophe. We couldn’t focus because we would constantly be making each other laugh, and it would feel a little too personal. We don’t want it because a life away from the Street is good.

Then he continued, “We met at Corrie, and that will always be significant for us, but we don’t want to act it out on TV!”

The love story of Joe and Sally

After many years of waiting, Joe, 52, and Sally, 41, wed last week.

The pandemic forced them to delay their wedding.

They have reportedly been dating for about four years.

They were seen holding hands at the soap’s summer party in 2018, which sparked the first romance rumors.

They consequently moved in together, but the coronavirus prevented them from getting married.

This week, Sally and Joe have been posting images from their opulent nuptials and their sunny honeymoon in northern Italy.

They visited Verona while on their happy honeymoon and went to the opera and to dine there.

When she returned to the ITV set, the Coronation Street crew had written “Just married” on the mirror in her dressing room.
