Jake Roche’s brief stint on Emmerdale and no 1 single before winding up in mum’s garage

Prior to moving into his mother’s garage, Jake Roche had a number one song and a run on Emmerdale.
The 30-year-old son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Richie referred to himself as a “failure” and revealed he was surviving on universal credit during the present cost of living crisis.
But not everything was “grim” for Jake all the time.
He was cast as Isaac Nuttall in Emmerdale in 2010 from August to October.
Hannah Barton previously dated Isaac before they changed their gender and adopted the name Matty.
Jake claimed he kept his renowned parents’ status a secret from the hiring manager because he “wanted to know I could hold my own in a job like this.”
Jake, who only played Isaac for a few months, also played Matt in the musical Rules of Love and made a fleeting appearance in Scott and Bailey on ITV in 2012.
The celebrity achieved a lucrative pop career as the main vocalist of Rixton after dabbling in acting.
Me and My Broken Heart, the band’s 2014 song, reached number one in the charts.
The song, which was taken from their album Let the Road, has more than 1 million copies sold.
The group, which was previously made up of Jake and his friend Charley Bagnall, is now known as Push Baby and has its own independent label.
In response to a question about his recent activities, Jake—who was once engaged to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson—spoke candidly on TikTok about continuing to live with his mother.
The ex-soap opera star retorted: “I live in my mother’s garage with her while receiving Universal Credit. I’ve failed.”
Jake’s parents have each spent a significant amount of time in the public eye; dad Shane presently portrays Alfie Moon in EastEnders, and mom Coleen is a prominent member of the Loose Women cast.
However, the TikTok user quickly offered the celebrity child some consolation with a heartfelt response.
First off, they declared, “You are not a failure.” Everyone experiences difficulties in life, and you will overcome yours.
After being taken aback, Jake grinned and said, “Thank you, you are a legend.”
