ITV Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles blasts soap bosses for killing off ‘fabulous’ character

Samantha Giles, an Emmerdale actor, has criticized the show’s executives for their “error” in murdering off a fan favorite.

The 51-year-old Samantha Giles has been discussing the ITV soap opera’s 50th anniversary plans, including rumors that several characters may die.

The actress who portrays Bernice Blackstock believed that the decision to kill off the formerly well-liked character Val Pollard was wrong, according to the Daily Star.

Fans of Emmerdale would surely recall that Val, who had been in the soap opera for 11 years, died in 2015. Val was stranded after a helicopter crashed into the settlement, causing this to occur.

Val died after being impaled by a large piece of glass that dropped from the ceiling. Samantha lamented the character’s demise.

“I think Val was wonderful, she was such a fabulous character,” the woman remarked. She was unique among the other characters on the show, so in my opinion, it was a mistake to kill her.

“She ought to be included, in my opinion. Why did they kill her? She was amazing.
