ITV Coronation Street’s Richard Fleeshman pays tribute to ‘amazing’ Brookside mum
Richard Fleeshman has honored his incredible Brookside mother.
With his role of Craig Harris on Coronation Street, the 33-year-old quickly rose to fame. The actor joined the ITV series’ ensemble in 2002 when he was just 12 years old.

He was a regular on the Cobbles until 2006, and his portrayal of the troubled kid was well received by viewers. At the age of 16, Richard left Weatherfield to follow his dream of becoming a star in the West End, and he has since had a prosperous career in show business.
He appears on today’s episode of Loose Women to discuss his upcoming science fiction program, The Ark.
During Thursday’s episode of the well-liked ITV program, Richard was interviewed by panelists Kaye Adams, Kelle Bryan, Linda Robson, and Jane Moore.
Richard comes from a well-known artistic family because his mother, Sue Jenkins, is well-known for playing Jackie Corkhill in Brookside. The legendary Merseyside-set soap has returned to our screens on STV Player, much to the delight of fans.
Richard acknowledged that he only learned about the exciting news yesterday as he paid tribute to his heroic mother. He stated: “She was outstanding in that program. Growing up, I was permitted to watch some episodes. Some of them occurred after I should have gone to sleep. It had such a huge audience and was a spectacular show.”
David Fleeshman, the actor who played Richard’s father in Boys From The Blackstuff, gave his parents credit for launching his successful career. I grew up with both of them being completely immersed in the profession, so it was simply everything I knew, he claimed.
