ITV Coronation Street star plans explosive tell-all book after quitting acting

Vicky Entwistle, a star of Coronation Street on ITV, has announced her retirement from acting and is preparing a tell-all book. This week, she tweeted a request for help and tagged some well-known friends.

Vicky, who recently announced her retirement, tweeted: “@RealDeniseWelch @MsGfaye Any moments I’ve missed will be highly appreciated.” Vicky also took aim at the industry’s top executives. The 53-year-old celebrity portrayed fan favorite Janice Battersby for 14 years on the popular ITV serial opera until 2010.

She announced on Twitter that she was giving up acting, blaming previous auditions’ lack of respect for her choice. Just had a few Zoom auditions, she tweeted.

“Half of me thinks I’m lucky, half thinks.. any feedback cocky bs!” She screamed about more auditions: “It’s just cost me £80 in gas. They frequently fail to even recognize your presence!

“Respect has left this sector of the economy! I’ll retire soon!

Vicky left the soap and afterwards made appearances in Holby City, Ackley Bridge, Celebrity Big Brother, and other shows. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 p.m., ITV Coronation Street is still broadcast.
