ITV Coronation Street legends Barbara Knox and Bill Roache mobbed as they attend soap’s summer party

The show’s stars were Coronation Street stalwarts Barbara Knox and Bill Roache, who made a rare cameo while out with their co-stars. The ITV soap’s Rita Tanner and Ken Barlow characters were in attendance at the summer celebration in Manchester.

They also demonstrated that they remain popular with viewers by being swarmed by admirers for photographs outside The Ivy, a popular hangout for celebrities in Spinningfields.

Bill, who celebrated his 90th birthday earlier this year and is still the longest-running cast member of Corrie, was spotted stepping out of his car wearing a white shirt tucked into a pair of soft-brushed blue pants, a matching blue jacket, and black dress shoes.

Before turning his attention to the waiting admirers and grinning at them, he made sure to pay the driver, the soap veteran because he had money in his hands.

Then, as he entered the restaurant and greeted them, he was photographed by the gathering group of people who were vying for the perfect selfie.

As she made her way to the celebrity hangout, Barbara was also approached by a number of fans. Before being led into the restaurant, the 88-year-old Oldham native and 40-year Corrie star was seen stopping for pictures and signing signatures.

She wore a patterned, round-neck dress over a pair of black pants and a pair of black heeled shoes, and she looked stunning.

In addition to her signature red hair, Barbara was seen carrying a black clutch bag and accessorizing with a delicate pearl necklace and matching earrings.

Numerous members of the cast and crew of the show joined them. On a black bandeau top and feathery skirt, Tina O’Brien, who portrays Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap opera, smiled for the camera outside The Ivy while flaunting her stunning body.

Jodie Prenger, the newest member of the Corrie cast and Glenda Shuttleworth’s sister, who has yet to make her television debut, was also present and beaming as she arrived at the event. Her plunging flowery dress did all the talking, while her new red hair bellowed in the breeze.

As they made their way to a night of celebrations for the beloved characters of the ITV soap opera, Jack P Shepherd and Colson Smith, aka David Platt and PC Craig Tinker, understood the significance of wearing white shirts. Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan) and Ellie Leach (Faye Windass), who both wore white outfits for the occasion, carried on the white motif.

Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley, wore burnt orange boots, a thigh-high split, and a black leather jacket to keep her warm in the chilly northern air.

The Shona Platt actress Julia Goulding contributed to the glitz by flaunting her growing baby tummy in a form-fitting black outfit.

With a tangerine-colored purse, matching shoes, and hooped earrings, she added a splash of color. The ITV soap’s Billy Mayhew, who looked dapper in a black t-shirt and jacket paired with a pair of slender grey checkered pants, also arrived arm in arm with her. She grinned for the cameras as they did so.

Only a few months have passed since they had a late Christmas/spring party before Corrie’s most recent celebration. At the end of April, the Salford-based program’s cast and crew celebrated together at Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum. The celebration was the first for Coronation Street since 2019.
