Sarah Parish was born in Somerset’s Yeovil at the age of 54.
She reportedly made her stage debut at the age of two in a pantomime in the village of Tintinhull, playing the pearl in an oyster. She started acting at a young age.
She attended Yeovil Youth Theatre before receiving training at the London Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.
She gained notoriety in 1994 for her role in a cult Boddingtons bitter commercial from Manchester, which led to a string of Northern-themed roles, including Dawn Rudge in Peak Practice, Allie Henshall in Cutting It, and Natalie Holden in Blackpool.
Her additional television roles include Merlin, Bancroft, Trollied, and Industry, as well as the Christmas 2006 Doctor Who episode “The Runaway Bride.”

In January 2008, Sarah and James revealed they were expecting their first child together. Tragically, Ella-Jayne passed away in 2009 due to complications from Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome.
