Inside Emmerdale village: Exclusive video of your favourite spots in the Dales

The cast and crew of Emmerdale have promised “sensational” storylines for the entire month-long celebration.

According to the producers, viewers will see a fierce storm smash through the community, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

Prior to the ITV soap’s golden jubilee episodes airing, Express.co.uk shot exclusive video near the village’s hotspots.

Emmerdale’s performers and producers celebrated the soap’s 50th birthday with a huge cake of the fabled Woolpack.

Popular actors like Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, Zoe Henry, who portrays Rhona Goskirk, Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, and Fiona Wade, who plays Priya Sharma, all smiled as they posed for photos in front of the cake outside the actual tavern.

Express.co.uk had the opportunity to visit St Mary’s Church, the wedding venue for Marlon and Rhona, and get a close-up look at some of the nearby establishments featured in the show, including David’s Shop and Barton and Dingle Automotives.

To commemorate the occasion, Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, even gave guests a live performance of Stevie Wonder songs with a backup band.

Executive producer Jane Hudson commented on Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary as the countdown to the milestone began: “To be the executive producer at such an exciting time is an honor. Emmerdale commemorating 50 years is a big achievement.

Emmerdale’s amazing storylines and enduring characters have enthralled its viewers for five decades.

To ensure that the birthday month is a “reward for all the dedicated viewers,” she said she wanted to make sure that the storylines keep them on the edge of their seats.

Jane tacked on “You will see stories throughout the month that will bring you to tears, make you laugh aloud, and, of course, amaze you with some of the most incredible stunts you have ever seen.

“Never before has this statement been more accurate: “The Emmerdale team is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to creating drama as its absolute best.”

The 50th anniversary stories on Emmerdale are “nothing short of amazing,” hinted Mark, who portrays Marlon Dingle.
