It turns out that the Emmerdale character Caleb, played by actor Will Ash, is acquainted with Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle.
Will, 45, said at a press conference: “I knew that I’d be working a lot with Jeff. That drew a lot of attention. Not to seem negative, but work is work, and it is good to be working.
“As an actor, you spend a lot of time away from the camera. As an actor, you spend a lot of time off the clock, so getting to do what I enjoy every day is very great. However, working with Jeff and the fantastic writing were the big highlights.
The character (Caleb) is written so brilliantly, and Will portrays his charm so beautifully, according to Jeff.
He also has a second cousin who is an actor who has appeared in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, and Footballers Wives, Peter Ash.

Will Ashi has played a variety of other characters, such as Steve Robinson in Clocking Off and Christopher Mead in Waterloo Road.
