Billy Hartman portrayed him, and he was involved in several major plotlines, including his affair with Viv Windsor, a stroke in 2003, and his tumultuous relationship with Dawn Hope.

What happened to Billy Hartman?
Billy and his Emmerdale co-stars Steve Halliwell and Alun Lewis were members of the UK country rock trio The Woolpackers before joining the soap.

In November 1996, the soap three had a UK smash single with “Hillbilly Rock Hillbilly Roll.”

He also starred as Dougal MacLeod, Connor McLeod’s cousin, in the movie Highlander.

Billy also appeared in the horror film Slaughter High and performed in Howard Goodall’s musical The Hired Man in its original West End staging.

Following his tenure on Emmerdale, Billy appeared in Casualty in 2013 as Graham O’Reilly, and he had a tiny role in Keeping Faith in 2019.
