Emmerdale’s Mark Charnock says his ‘fifth time lucky’ wedding will have dramatic twists
The week leading up to Marlon and Rhona’s wedding will be filled with dramatic twists and turns for Emmerdale fans.
Viewers have been heartbroken by Marlon’s stroke recovery in recent weeks as the ITV soap aired heartwarming scenes with April (Amelia Flanagan) after he returned home for the first time, to touching moments from the early days after when he could hardly communicate and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) was almost too afraid to visit him.
After falling at his stag party, which was planned by the Dingle lads, Marlon overdoes it and ends up back in the hospital as he struggles with the frightening truth of his limitations.
It appears unlikely that Marlon will make it to the church in time to marry his fiancée given that he is still in the hospital and has extremely high blood pressure.
Paddy attempts valiantly to use deep breathing and visualization relaxing techniques to control his blood pressure.
Marlon’s blood pressure is still too high when the nurse checks it, therefore his efforts are ineffective. She warns him that if he departs without getting things under control, he could suffer another stroke.
Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, and Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona, have hinted at some extremely dramatic turns ahead of the tense episode as viewers wait to learn if he will walk down the aisle.
“Marlon is feeling a little uneasy. He has been practicing the aisle walk. He overdoes it and trips and falls, but the Dingle boys put up this stag night for him,” Mark told New magazine.
Mark remarked that Marlon was upset because they wouldn’t let him go because of his elevated blood pressure, and Zoe noted that Vanessa didn’t tell Rhona what had happened. The females attempt to distract or delay her by telling Rhona she has too much makeup on and hiding the rings. Rhona has blissful ignorance.
As Mark reveals that just as it seems like Marlon won’t survive, Paddy speeds down the street in a souped-up wheelchair, skidding around the curves, in this nail-biting episode, action shots will be shown.
