Emmerdale’s Laura Norton on real-life romance with former co-star Mark Jordon

Laura Norton, a star of Emmerdale, talked about her relationship with former co-star Mark Jordon in real life.

The Kerry Wyatt actress had her head turned by Mark during his brief stint acting alongside her. The two are still very much in a relationship even though he left the ITV soap.

During an interview with Inside Soap the actress opened up about her life with Mark and recalled meeting him for the first time.

In 2014, Mark temporarily assumed the role of Dan’s brother Daz, she recalled. “We remained in touch and became closer; we never turned back!

Sha added: “If you’d have said when we first met that in a few years we would be a couple and have a baby, I would’ve said ‘excuse me?'”

When asked if their son would also become an actor, she said: “Whatever makes him happy, I’ll support him. Nevertheless, my father is adamant that he play football!”

On the soap opera, Mark played Daz Spencer in 2014 and again between 2017 and 2019. Laura plays Kerry Wyatt. They got engaged in late 2018 after meeting on the set of Emmerdale, and in January 2021 they gave birth to a son they called Jesse.

But Laura made it clear that it wasn’t a case of love at first sight. We met on the Emmerdale set, but it wasn’t love at first sight, she insisted.

“Since Mark was only there for two weeks, we didn’t get a chance to get to know one another very well at first. Later, our paths met, and we grew good friends. Then, the unexpected occurred, and now we are expecting a child. It seems strange when I think about it!

The two actors confirmed the news of their engagement on New Year’s Day 2019 on Twitter, as Mark reflected on his ‘highs and lows’ of the past year.

Indeed, he wrote, “2018 had some of the highest highs and the lowest lows.” “Really experienced the affection of true friends.

“Feel blessed by the support of my children and elated to have heard the word ‘yes’ from the most beautiful woman in the world.”
