The well-known Dan Spencer, played by Emmerdale star Liam Fox, is about to leave the ITV programme after 12 years because Dan is about to begin serving a lengthy jail sentence for the one-punch murder of his daughter’s stalker.

In addition to Ross Barton’s doctor role in two episodes of Emmerdale in 2018, Liam Hudson’s wife Joanna Hudson also appeared in the show.

They first connected at school 27 years ago, and Dan proposed just 10 months before their 2020 wedding.
