Emmerdale’s Charley Webb admits she is ‘ignoring life’ amid Matthew Wolfenden split rumours

After divorce rumors surfaced about her and Matthew Wolfenden, Charley Webb, star of Emmerdale, gave a mysterious update.

In 2009, when they first crossed paths on the ITV soap opera set, Matthew, then 43, proposed to the 35-year-old.

For the pair, though, life hasn’t always been easy. “Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have today confirmed they have separated,” a spokesman said at the time of their split in 2013.

“It was never a permanent split, we just needed some time apart,” Matthew told the Mirror when they reconciled in 2015.

Ignoring life and all the chores I need to accomplish,’ was the mysterious remark that the Debbie Dingle actor shared on Instagram recently. I also want to get additional body art.

This comes after it was reported by The Sun that Matthew, who played David Metcalfe in Emmerdale for eighteen years, recently unfollowed his wife on Instagram.

Charley and Matthew were at very different positions in their lives when they initially started dating, a source informed the publication, adding that Matthew continued to pursue Charley until last night.

“After having three children and juggling new careers, everything has changed, and they might not be the same group they once were.”

After Charley joined Emmerdale, they got to know each other on the set. A year later, on Christmas Day 2009, the actor proposed to Matthew.

On February 10, 2018, the couple finally got married, but their guests were unaware of the nuptials.

At the time, OK! Magazine said that the couple thought they were attending Charley’s 30th birthday party when 100 guests showed up at Ripley Castle, close to Harrogate, but in reality, they were getting married.

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of marriage. In 2019, Charley said on This Morning, “It’s not that important to me.”

However, this seemed like a sensible method to go about it since it relieved the burden of all the questions people would otherwise ask me, like “What’s your dress like? “Who will be your bridesmaid?” was a question I didn’t want to hear.

“There is also too much attention.” It simply seemed like a lot of focus.
