Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle ‘unrecognisable’ in wedding scenes as co-stars do ‘double take’

Emma Atkins, who plays Charity Dingle in Emmerdale, was reportedly so unrecognizable while filming the impending wedding scenes that her fellow cast members believed a newcomer had moved into the community.
As the ITV soap opera gears up for explosive moments, Charity Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd’s wedding finally takes place this week, and Charity, who showed up in a cropped blonde wig and a fancy dress outfit, looked very different from how she usually does.
Will the pair, who have recently been going through a difficult time, make it to the wedding? Her co-stars confessed that even they were surprised when she showed up to utter her vows.
Fans of Emmerdale will be stunned to see Charity don a white wig and a cigar instead of her normal dazzling outfit, which caused her co-star Eden Taylor-Draper to pause and take a second look.
The A Team’s ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, played by Templeton ‘Face’ Peck, was the source of the look’s inspiration. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith also appears in the episode. Emma Atkins, who plays Charity Dingle, acknowledged that the appearance is “weirdest, strangest, and most eccentric” so yet.

In a discussion with OK! “Eden [Belle Dingle] didn’t realize it was me,” Emma claimed. Oh, there’s someone new there, she thought as she turned to face me, and then she exclaimed, “Oh my God, it’s you!”
The wig was comfortable to wear, Emma did admit, but she also said: “To be fair, I’m so accustomed to being stuffed in wigs now, I just expect it now, I just turn there and go: “Ok, what are we doing today?” And it makes it enjoyable.
Every single one of us said, “Do you know what, this is going to be so much fun,” and we have had a ton of fun with it, she said. “You’ve got to embrace these episodes or it’s just not going to be great,” she said.
Before the wedding, Moria Dingle assists Charity in surprising Mack, an A-Team fan, with a replica van replete with fancy dress accessories.
Mack was dressed as ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, and Charity was in a Hannibal costume.
The pair decides to have a little fun in the van, but PC Swirling quickly spots them and has them detained because the van had been used in a heist.
They must spend the night in the cells and first doubt whether they would be able to have their wedding. Charles Anderson, their pastor, still consents to their marriage while they are dressed up.
