The actor, 31, who is best known for playing Amy Wyatt in Emmerdale from 2010 to 2013, posted a picture of herself on Instagram showing off a growing baby belly.

As if remodeling a home weren’t enough, she added, “we’ve chosen to have a baby at the same time! MENTAL, as per the law. But we’re about to meet our brand-new tiny best friend.

James, 32, who has acting experience that includes a lead role in the revival of Waterloo Road, later posted the picture of his fiancee along with loving emoticons on his Instagram Story.

Some of Chelsea’s fans congratulated the couple on the news in the comments section of her earlier post on the platform. The couple got engaged back in 2021.

Actress Natalie Ann Jamieson, who presently portrays Amy on the ITV soap opera, made a statement about it. After Chelsea left the position in 2013, she took over in 2019. Natalie said “Congratulations” when she heard the news earlier.

Some of Chelsea’s former co-stars from the show responded to her, including Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle. Earlier, he said, “Bloody well hooray!”

Laura Norton, a cast member who has played Amy Wyatt’s mother Kerry since 2012, said: “I can’t.” She used the heart-eyed and broken-heart emoticons.

EastEnders’ Danielle Harold congratulated Chelsea, and Corrie alum Rebecca Ryan said: “So so so thrilled for you. They weren’t the only soap opera stars to respond. You appear fantastic.

Before earning the role of Amy on Emmerdale, Chelsea, who is the niece of fellow actor Jill Halfpenny, made her acting debut as Lucy Summerbee in Byker Grove.

The actor joined the cast of Casualty after her spell on the ITV soap from 2010 till her departure in 2013. From 2015 through 2019, she appeared on the show as Alicia Munroe.

Theatre enthusiasts may be familiar with Chelsea from her roles in Waitress’ UK tour and the West End production of 9 to 5: The Musical.

Her fiancé James already made an appearance in Emmerdale as Jake Doland. The character debuted in 2007 and was present in the program until 2009.

James, whose previous roles included Anthony in the sitcom Alma’s Not Normal, most recently played the character in Red Dwarf and Hebburn. The title character’s ex-boyfriend is played by him.

Additionally, early this year, he made an appearance in the most recent season of Waterloo Road as deputy head teacher Joe Casey. He was one of the fresh faces that the revival’s new characters included.
