Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh marries former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith

Amy Walsh, an actor most known for her work on Emmerdale, wed Toby-Alexander Smith, a former EastEnders cast member.

After three years of dating, the pair got married in Montenegro’s mountains in front of their loved ones and well-known acquaintances, including EastEnders actress Shona McGarty and singer Sonny Tennet, who also happens to be Amy Walsh’s sister.

Natalie Ann Jamieson, Olivia Bromley, and Louisa Clein were among those who watched the pair exchange vows. Amy’s Emmerdale co-stars were also present.

In a conversation with OK! magazine, Amy remarked, “It was honestly the most perfect day.” It exceeded all of my expectations and then some.

“I felt so surprisingly present on the day, and I loved every second,” she continued. Right now, I’m just blissful.

After an accidental encounter in the Strictly Come Dancing audience in 2019, the couple started dating. A year later, they became engaged.

During a Loose Women segment, Amy recalled how they first connected: “It was just pure chance that we were both there [on Strictly] that night seated in the front row.” We got along a lot and spent the entire night speaking.

Before making their engagement public almost a year later, in August 2022, Toby and Amy welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Bonnie, in December 2021.

Amy has played Tracey Metcalfe in the Dales since 2014, and this is her most well-known role. In 2011, she additionally made an appearance in the Hollyoaks Later spinoff.

Most recently, she participated in the Celebrity Masterchef 2023 season, joining Luca Bish and Wynne Evans in the last three.

Between 2019 to 2022, Toby played serial killer Gray Atkins on EastEnders.
