Emmerdale theory: Moira Barton to discover she is related to Suzy Merton in epic twist

This week in Emmerdale, Moira was forced to relive Holly’s passing when she learned the truth—that Suzy had given her daughter the money to buy the drugs that led to Holly’s overdose.

It’s safe to say Sarah, along with the rest of the Barton family, were incensed to learn they had been duped by the ITV soap opera newbie.

They might not be aware, though, that the businesswoman was married to Holly before she passed away and could have struck a deal with her.

Suzy and Holly used to collaborate, with Holly being employed by the businesswoman to snap pictures during the weddings she was planned. This has been known for a good few weeks.

From this point on, the two formed a close connection and occasionally used drug use as a means of unwinding after a long day at the office.

But even though the two individuals had no love feelings for one another at all, they could have decided to walk down the aisle because of their employment in weddings.

The two might have made the spontaneous decision to get married in order to increase their chances of employment rather than continuing to be in separate relationships as two separate people as part of a larger business strategy.

Again, this would have been discussed while they were using drugs. They might have believed they could have related to the customers they were working with more.

This would shock Moira, who would begin to doubt her knowledge of her daughter and be torn over whether or not to extend forgiveness.

The newcomer might not say that they came up with the notion to walk down the aisle during a drug-fueled partying session.

She would therefore make her mother-in-law believe she was in love with her daughter and would never have purposefully killed her.

Will another of Moira’s secrets be revealed, or will Suzy be able to win back Moira’s favor as her daughter-in-law?

Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), who was outraged and swore vengeance when he learned the truth about his sister’s death, is someone who might not trust what Suzy is telling.

He was able to locate the witnesses who were present at the wedding and learn that they had once been Suzy’s friends by doing some research.

As he learns more about his sister-in-law, he might come to understand that the stranger is not who she claims to be and that what she did to Holly—giving her money for drugs that caused her to overdose—was not a one-time thing.

Will Matty discover the horrible fact that his sister wed a murderer?

The actress also talked about what it was like to watch the episode again after it had been shown five years earlier.

I was a little taken aback, Natalie remarked. When revisiting something that was fairly serious, you always need to consider the viewpoint because you don’t necessarily want the program to be too doom and gloom.

“However, I really like the perspective they’re taking and how it connects to what happened. It will in some ways put together some information that Moira was unaware of.

“I won’t deny that I was shocked, but it’s something that could actually occur.

Will Moira be kept in the dark about the circumstances behind her daughter’s marriage to Suzy? She stated, “I quite enjoy the fact that it helps Moira have more to the story in a sense of what truly happened.”
