Emmerdale theory: Faith Dingle’s secret unveiled as iconic family set to lose everything

Faith has pretty much done everything for her family, which has made it difficult for her to get along with Chas and Cain Dingle.

However, it appears that her loved ones are now able to forgive her for her previous wrongs as her final days on Emmerdale approach.

They might be incensed when they learn what she was hidden from them after she has passed away on the ITV soap opera.

The weeknight serial drama’s Thursday episode opened with Faith and her great-granddaughter Sarah Sugden seated in the café (Katie Hill).

Faith had to answer a call from someone who turned out to be a debt collector even though they were supposed to be spending some quality time together.

The legendary family’s matriarch remarked, “Have I not paid my ticket? I’m really sorry, Mr. Debt Collector. You’ll need to know my new address because I recently moved.

“I’m six feet under in the cemetery, you money-grabbing scumbag, because that’s where you’ll find me because that’s where I’ll be.”

“That was fun, annoying traffic wardens, that should be on the top of everyone’s shopping list,” she said after hanging up the phone with Sarah.

Faith continued to talk to Sarah about checking things off of a bucket list before she passed away, suggesting that she was not in a rush to pay the debt she owed.

Faith replied, listing the many crimes and illegalities she had committed over the years, “I think I’ve done just about everything.”

The rest of the episode focused on the two as Sarah encouraged Faith to have less chaotic days even though she wanted to make the most of every moment.

They both had to deal with the possibility at some point in the future, albeit at different times, but they understood how the other felt.

But Sarah would never have imagined that after her great-grandmother passed away, she had a mountain of debt.

Although Faith was making fun of the parking ticket she received, this may not be the only debt she has.

When she passes away, the Dingles could be contacted to explain that the matriarch still owed thousands of pounds on several accounts.

They would be furious to learn she had been hiding this, and they would be even angrier if they were forced to pay the debt.

The family has consistently struggled with money, and they occasionally turn to illegal means to obtain money.

They might lose everything this time because they realize they can’t act the same way they used to in the past.

This would include Cain selling the garage to raise some additional funds, but Chas could ask Charity Dingle for a significant favor (Emma Atkins).

She may ask the proprietor of the Woolpack to share her portion of the bar in order to settle Faith’s debt, which Charity would be ready to do.

This would only be the case, though, if Faith hadn’t donated £20,000 to Sarah’s medical expenses after learning that she had throat cancer.

Maybe the matriarch had maxed out her credit cards since this was the only money she had in her life savings.

Will Faith’s family hold this against her despite the fact that she is dead so long as they have to start over?

After five years of portraying the adored character, Faith’s actress, Sally, has been open about leaving the show.

Sally clarified: “She is hurtling toward her end, just as I am hurtling toward the end of my time in Emmerdale, and some of the scripts reflect how I feel.

“Even though I think it’s the right thing, it’s quite devastating because I’m going to leave behind people I really care about, like Jeff [Hordley], Lucy [Pargeter] and Natalie [J Robb].”

“It’s extraordinary to be working with them. Not just their acting prowess, but also who they are as people.

“The plot, in my opinion, is excellent. Although I haven’t read the scripts for her passing, I’m hoping for the best outcome possible.”

The soap actress continued, “This isn’t just a story about a cancer; it’s a bigger story about family.”

Lee posted on Twitter, “I still don’t agree with the idea of killing off Faith but it’s been really great,” suggesting that viewers are also devastated by her departure.

Claire tacked on “Sally Dexter is fantastic, and she is a breath of new air as a character. So sad.

Faith is dying, but I believe that I’m also greatly affected because Sally is leaving #emmerdale @emmerdale.”

“Love Faith Dingle, will not be the same without her, don’t want that episode to come around,” Karen wrote in a comment on a social media site.
