Emmerdale the ‘safest’ village soap with lowest murder rate

In recent months, Meena Jutla has worked hard to improve those figures.

Fans of Emmerdale may be surprised to learn that the ITV village is the safest place to live.

Despite the fact that villainous Meena Jutla, played by Paige Sandhu, has killed off a slew of Emmerdale regulars in the previous year or so, the show is still going strong. SimpliSafe analyzed the stories, casts, and incidents of the UK’s four biggest soaps – Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, and Hollyoaks – as well as historical data from the time they originally aired, to reveal the most dangerous town in the soap realm.

Weatherfield on Coronation Street is 9,200 times more deadly than the typical British town, according to the findings. With a murder rate of 4.8 percent compared to 9.3 percent in Corrie, Emmerdale is the safest place to live.

While Emmerdale may be the safest soap to live in, it’s worth noting that their murder rate is 578,206 percent higher than the national average. Emmerdale had the highest rate of theft, while Coronation Street had the highest rate of bribery or blackmail.

In Hollyoaks, there were 67% more kidnappings than anywhere else in the country.
