Emmerdale stars kick off 50th anniversary celebrations with incredible Woolpack cake

The long-running ITV drama Emmerdale celebrates a significant milestone today, as the cast and staff have formally started the celebrations to mark the soap’s 50th anniversary.

The Emmerdale family is commemorating the event with a big cake made by The Woolpack.

Actors Fiona Wade, Chris Bisson, Lisa Riley, Mark Charnock, Zo Henry, Jay Kontzle, and Katherine Dow Blyton are seen posing next to the spectacular sweet treat in photos from the celebrations that ITV has released.

Executive producer Jane Hudson considers what has made Emmerdale such a success as the countdown to the significant milestone in October progresses.

Emmerdale being 50 is a significant accomplishment, and she said it was an honor to serve as executive producer at such a momentous period.

“Emmerdale has enthralled its viewers for five decades with amazing plotlines and enduring characters.

To ensure that our 50th birthday month is a pleasure for all of our devoted viewers and keeps them glued to the screen as the storylines develop.

“We want to make sure we celebrate our great community and everyone who lives there because we are really pleased to be a jewel in Yorkshire’s crown.

You will see stories throughout the month that will bring you to tears, make you laugh aloud, and, of course, amaze you with some of the most incredible stunts you have ever seen.

Never before has this statement been more accurate: “The Emmerdale team is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to creating drama as it very best.” There are numerous events planned to commemorate the anniversary, including special episodes and stunts that will forever alter the community.

Even though the drama is currently top-secret, we are confident that the major plotlines will be worth the wait. When we learn more, we’ll let you know.

A documentary that will also air will look back on the soap opera’s most notable births, deaths, arrivals, returns, and exits, it was recently revealed.
