Katie, who stars in Emmerdale, has announced that she is isolating after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
“Thank you, I’m fine, but I’ve been better.”
Katie, who plays Sarah Sugden in the Yorkshire Dales serial, recently updated her Instagram Stories with this news during a fan Q&A.
“We don’t comment on health problems relating to colleagues for privacy reasons,” an ITV representative told The Sun.

“With our H&S protocols and measures in place, filming at Emmerdale continues.

The Emmerdale actress, who has been on the show for four years, is currently filming a heart transplant plot for her character Sarah, who has already faced a rare genetic ailment and cancer.

Following Leanna’s death and Faith’s recent health difficulties, Katie revealed that Sarah wants to discover more about her heart donor, stating she’s “very determined” to do so and will begin her own research.

She went on to say, “She does find someone in the family who agrees to meet her.”
