Rhona Goskirk, who plays Marlon Dingle on Emmerdale, is due to fight with her mother Mary next week as she tries to make sense of his health problems.
Last month, Marlon (Mark Charnock) had a stroke, and Rhona (Zo Henry) has been slowly coming to grips with his long-term care and what the future may hold for them as a marriage.
Paddy Dingle will set up an Easter egg hunt for the kids, and Marlon will be able to watch it through video, according to new ITV spoilers, which Rhona is pleased about.
The next day, however, Rhona is taken aback by how exhausted Marlon has become as a result of the activities and hopes that his weariness will not interfere with his consulting meeting.
Meanwhile, Mary confides in Faith Dingle about the stress that Rhona is under, and fears how she would cope as a full-time caretaker.
Later on, a consultant informs a dejected Marlon that although she’s delighted with his progress, he’s in the greatest position possible.
Rhona urges the consultant for a recovery schedule, and when she gets home, she lashes out when she finds Mary in the pub with Faith.
Mary worries that Rhona’s tiredness would be exacerbated by Marlon’s move home, and she asks her to think about the impact it will have on her and the kids after her outburst.
Rhona is disgusted by her mother’s insensitivity and kicks Mary out of her house after she suggests a separation.
Marlon was left very frustrated at the hospital during his speech therapy session last week, as he struggled to make simple phrases, while ITV viewers watched.
Rhona was at her lowest point after the incident, and she returned to the hospital to apologize. However, when Mary questioned whether Rhona had been putting too much pressure on herself, Marlon made the terrible choice to restrict any visitors.
