Emmerdale spoilers: Rhona furiously lashes out as April dares to wear eye shadow

In upcoming episodes of Emmerdale, Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) worry that daughter April (Amelia Flanagan) is approaching a “difficult age” because of her behavior, which worries them.

Since her crush on Arthur (Alfie Clarke) fizzled, April has been feeling a little depressed. This may be in large part because Arthur has lately come out as gay and is having a hard time accepting it himself.

April is uplifted and given a new lease on life when Naomi (Karene Peter) gives her a little pep talk. Marlon and Rhona are concerned about her behavior because it also comes with a side serving of attitude.

Rhona believes Naomi is a poor influence on April after she sees her wearing cosmetics, which she finds improper given the situation.

There are some reasons for Rhona to be a little concerned about Naomi, even if Marlon gets along well with her and has offered her a job as his assistant at the Woolpack. Naomi was recently on trial for being a member of the gang that beat up Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).

Rhona quickly confronts Naomi about having a negative influence on April, and the conversation quickly turns tense.

When it comes to protecting herself, Naomi has demonstrated in the past that she can more than hold her own, and Rhona isn’t one to back down when defending her family either.

This presumably puts poor Marlon in the middle of a conflict between his wife and his helper, and April is not going to take kindly to Rhona siding against her new friend.

When Nicola gets involved, everything then spirals out of control. She clearly doesn’t like Naomi, and she makes sure Rhona knows just how she feels.
