Could Marlon Dingle and Paddy Kirk’s friendship maybe be gone in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers?

The soap pair have been great friends for nearly 25 years, despite the occasional hiccup.

Will the ties that have kept them together for so long ultimately fall apart, though, given Marlon’s feeling of rejection, Paddy’s anxiety over impending events, and the enormous personal hardships each of them have endured lately?

Marlon is incredibly anxious in the ITV soap opera that airs on Monday, August 21. He looks forward to getting behind the wheel once more. But because of his high levels of worry, he and his Emmerdale friend Paddy’s problems only get worse.

In the meantime, Paddy has learned that Mary has been lying when she says she is dating once more. When she’s supposed to have been out meeting someone new, he discovers her sobbing in a field. He’s delayed in seeing Marlon as a result of this unexpected encounter.

Already agitated, Marlon is not happy and feels betrayed by his best friend. Additionally, the repercussions pose a threat to their friendship.

Rhona under pressure

In the episode that aired on Tuesday, August 22, we find Rhona, Marlon’s wife, doing her best to assist Mary, Paddy, and both Marlon and Paddy.

In the episode airing on Wednesday, August 23, Rhona loses her cool. She also makes it apparent that the following day, they will all have to confront their concerns.

Marlon, Paddy, and Mary are all anxious about what their “fear-facing day” with Rhona in charge will involve on Thursday (August 24).

The group supports one another as she finally reveals what she has planned for each of them. But they have rarely felt any relief in their minds.

Will her “tough love” strategy succeed in encouraging them to confront their fears? Or perhaps drive them farther into despair?
