Emmerdale spoilers for April 14 2023: Paddy takes a trip and Bernice is humiliated

After deciding to end his marriage, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) moves one step further in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale (airing Friday, April 14).

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) is left grieving over her secret love for her ex while he is away on a trip.

Paddy was startled when Chas kissed him earlier in the week when she made it apparent she wanted to try again, and he thought about their future.

When Paddy confided in her about what to do, Mandy struggled between encouraging him to follow his heart and do what makes him happy but also putting her own sentiments aside.

She completely anticipated him to opt to get back together with Chas, but soon Paddy realized there was no turning back.

Paddy is concentrating on his own mental health now that Chas has definitively realized that her affair has damaged her marriage.

Paddy joined a neighborhood men’s club where male friends talked about their lives and emotions after his failed suicide attempt.

It was a genuine time for bonding, and it was this event that finally inspired Paddy to move on.

Although there is still a long way to go, Paddy enjoys a fishing excursion tonight with his dad Bear (Joshua Richards) and several of the boys.

Everyone is in good spirits as they take in the company and the peaceful surroundings, and Paddy finds it to be a fantastic tonic after a perplexing week.

Mandy is putting Paddy behind her in the village, or at least she is attempting to. Vinny Ashdale (Bradley Johnson), noticing his mother was acting strangely, is eager to assist her.

Mandy thanks him for his encouragement and adds that he is the only man she needs in her life when he advises that she sign up for a dating app.

Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) has also been using a unique club to counteract her depressed mood.

She becomes discouraged and embarrassed when the menopause meet-up participants begin postponing the planned gathering.
