Charley Webb, a former Emmerdale star, has completed filming for a mysterious new TV role.
Charley Webb, well known for her role as Debbie Dingle in the ITV serial, has taken on a variety of jobs since leaving Emmerdale. The actor has shared a social media photo with the caption ‘that’s a wrap,’ but has divulged little further about the project.
We’ll update you as soon as we have more information. Debbie will most likely be seen in the next Yorkshire Ripper ITV thriller.
In The Long Shadow, she will co-star with Katherine Kelly, a former Coronation Street regular. The seven-part series, which premieres on ITV1 and ITVX next month, will focus on the victims of Jack the Ripper’s heinous acts.
Charley is having a very busy time because she is also slated to feature in the stage musical Quiz. The story of infamous Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? candidate Charles Ingram is dramatized in the touring production. It is based on the ‘Coughing Major’ scandal surrounding his victory and subsequent prosecution.
As previously reported, Charley stated on Instagram, “I’ve been so pleased to disclose this. I’ll be making my stage debut as Diana Ingram in Quiz, written by the incredible @misterjamesgraham.
“We open in @chichesterft on Friday, September 22nd, and will tour for nine weeks to some incredible theatres.” I’m nervous, but I’m also excited. I’ve included a link in my bio. “Who will be there?”
In addition to I May Destroy You’s Lewis Reeves as Charles Ingram and impressionist Rory Bremner as Millionaire quizmaster Chris Tarrant, Charley Webb is a member of the cast.
We’ll be bringing you important Emmerdale news regarding events both in and outside of the village, as we always do.
