Emmerdale death confirmed as Bob and Bernice left shaken by corpse discovery

The following week, a shocking death rocks Emmerdale.

When Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) announces a harpist she obviously likes will be their act for the B&B’s opening night, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is disappointed.

When Bob advises Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) to stay somewhere else for the B&B’s opening, Cathy has a yell of frustration and is incensed.

When the young girl accidently shatters the cake Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) had brought over, Cathy runs away in tears feeling humiliated.

Bernice tries to pacify Cathy, but the sequence of events has left Bob absolutely agitated.

She offers her an amethyst pendant to relieve her stress, but when Cathy tries to apologize to Bob, he tells her he’d prefer she stay away from the B&B, and she loses her temper.

She stomps on the amethyst pendant, smashing it, as she reaches boiling point.

Cathy breaks down in tears of confusion because she just doesn’t know why she’s feeling this way.

After spending the night with Tim the harpist, Bernice awakens blissfully in the B&B bedroom on the day of the B&B’s spectacular re-opening.

Untidy Bernice stands in for her when she is absent with an irate Bob after realizing she has significantly overslept.

In the B&B that afternoon, Bob and Bernice nervously await the arrival of their first guests while defensive Bernice fills in for the absent Tim the harpist.

Bernice enjoys playing hostess as the visitors for the re-opening show up, so she is shocked when Bob informs her that he has discovered Tim the harpist dead.

Later, Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) overhears Bob and Bernice talking, thinking they’ve been having sex, and is saddened to learn this.

When Bob knocks on Wendy’s door, she accuses him of having an affair with Bernice, shocking Bob.

She pours icy water down on him from an upper floor window. When a sopping wet Bob shows up at the B&B, Bernice is perplexed.

She is horrified by the claim that Wendy had an affair with Bob, but since she thinks Wendy might be going through the menopause, she quickly comes up with a plan to step in as Cathy arrives to talk to Bob.
