Emmerdale couple torn apart forever as Paddy Kirk makes difficult decision

On the most recent episode of Emmerdale, Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt and Lucy Pargeter, respectively) shared a passionate kiss. The kiss raised viewers’ hopes that the pair would reconcile, but Paddy afterwards said he was done with his unfaithful wife Chas. According to ITV soap opera teasers, Paddy will soon ask a broken-hearted Chas for a divorce.

In the one-hour Emmerdale episode that aired on Thursday, Chas pleaded with Paddy to move back home and seek for his forgiveness. Let’s try once more.

Chas’ request caught Paddy off guard, and he then struck the Emmerdale bartender with a crushing punch.

“I have no business saying this, but last night when we kissed, it was like all those emotions and all the things that brought us together came flooding back,” continued Chas.

You might not be aware of how much I value you.

Chas panicked and said, “Well, you don’t have to decide yet, I know things can’t miraculously go back to the way they were. Paddy said he didn’t know what to say.

It will take time to regain that trust, but if we care about each other enough, we can succeed, right?

Paddy eventually admitted to Chas that he still loved her but wasn’t “in love” with her “anymore” and apologized for it.

Chas began to cry as Paddy said, “I’m sorry, but I’m not coming back.

In subsequent scenes, Paddy informs Chas that he has spoken with a divorce lawyer, leaving Chas speechless.

The Emmerdale vet adds that he doesn’t see the point in delaying anything and asks Chas if she would be willing to file for divorce jointly.

Will she accept that filing a joint application is the best course of action for them both, or not?

Will she exert all of her efforts to win Paddy back, whom she still loves ardently?

Fans of Emmerdale will recall that Chas had an affair with her husband and was the arch-enemy of Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) brother Al Chapman, a crooked businessman played by Michael Wildman.

After a violent standoff last year, the relationship came to an end when Cain’s 10-year-old son shot Al dead.

Since Chas broke Paddy’s heart, the villagers have turned against her, and she has been working to make amends.

Paddy, however, has had a challenging time as he battled to accept the deceit and earlier this year fell into a severe melancholy.

His loved ones have been sticking with him as he recovers despite coming dangerously near to suicide.

In recent weeks, the Emmerdale character has improved and seems more confident in himself.

Perhaps leaving Chas behind permanently is the only way he can move on with his life.
