Emmerdale Chris Bisson’s ‘expensive’ renovation project and other homes of soap stars
One of the most recognizable settings in British television is the fictional community of Emmerdale, which is located in the Yorkshire Dales.
Up until 1993, the community was known as Beckindale. Then, the survivors of the horrific plane crash episode changed the name to what we are all familiar with today.

Since the show’s relaunch, viewers have continued to tune in because the wholesome farm has hosted some of television’s most dramatic moments.
But we also thought it might be interesting to see how our favorite soap opera performers actually live outside of the Yorkshire Dales.
Through their social media accounts, the actors have given fans a glimpse into their personal life, whether it be at the sleek modern mansion of Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden or the tranquil rural getaway of Jeff Hordley.
The most beautiful residences owned by our favorite Emmerdale actors are listed here.
Chris Bisson
Since 2009, the performer has played Jai Sharma on Emmerdale. Since then, the 46-year-old has become a fixture in the Yorkshire community and has been a part of some of the most tragic plotlines in the ITV series.
Chris shared some good news off the screen on Instagram, revealing that his family has started a fun renovation project. Chris has been contributing to the build by posting frequent updates.
He revealed the project is proving to be more expensive than he anticipated in a piece he published earlier this month. “A lot of money was just vanishing into the dirt,” he claimed.
Additionally, EVERYTHING has increased in price significantly while we were planning the project. The cost of steel increased by 60%, and that is merely one factor.
Later on, we’ll have to work to recover that… Therefore, it is already clear that sacrifices will need to be made later in true Grand Designs fashion.
Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry
The actress best known for playing Cain Dingle lives with co-star Zoe Henry in an exquisite property in the Yorkshire Dales. A nutritionist advised Jeff, who has Crohn’s disease, to follow a strict detox and eliminate out alcohol, sweets, meat, wheat, and dairy from his diet. Jeff changed his diet to treat the ailment.
Jeff and Zoe have set up an allotment in their rural getaway to cope with the new way of life, and they make everything from scratch. Other posts they’ve made on social media depict a sparse living room with a cozy wood burner and lots of roomy cushions.
Roxy Shahidi
Since 2008, the soap opera actress has portrayed Leyla Cavanagh on the ITV program. Off-screen, Roxy updates her 77,400 Instagram followers on news from her interesting life.
Through her frequent posting of yoga workouts, Roxy has provided viewers with a glimpse into her house. Stylish furnishings and a swivel chair from the 1970s can be found in the living area.
With her actor husband Arsher Ali and their young child, Roxy resides in her own house. There are many cozy accents in the living area, which also boasts a fireplace.
Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden
The Emmerdale family, who reside in a gorgeous modern estate with their kids Buster, Bowie, and Ace, frequently post updates on Instagram.
The actors, who are best known for playing Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe, are known for their adoration of the legendary musician who provided the inspiration for the name of their middle child. A David Bowie image is prominently displayed in their chic home. In a recent amusing TikTok video with their followers, they could be seen setting up their lavish Christmas tree in front of the elaborate artwork.
Charley has also posted pictures of the couple’s cozy, gray bedroom, which features a king-sized, lavish bed with button tufting and a high headboard.
A big window with plantation shutters that reaches all the way to the ceiling flanks the bed on either side. The kitchen is modern, with sleek, handle-free cabinets in a charcoal color and a sizable stainless island with integrated wooden shelves.
Danny Miller
The I’m A Celebrity winner, his wife Steph Jones, and their baby son Albert live together in a lovely home.
The living area of Danny’s stunning home has a farmhouse-style ambiance thanks to the wood-burning stove, exposed brick fireplace, wooden floors, and brown leather sofa. The cozy atmosphere carries over into the kitchen, which has cream cabinets and black marble countertops.
