Emmerdale Amelia actress Daisy Campbell targeted by thieves on Ibiza trip with co-star

Daisy Campbell of Emmerdale claimed that she was lately the target of robbers while on vacation.

Daisy, who has portrayed Amelia Spencer on the ITV drama for more than 11 years, spoke about her character’s impending pregnancy plotline while seated across from temporary host Ranvir Singh.

The 18-year-old revealed that she recently went on vacation to escape the drama involving her character, but that the tension she experienced increased when her luggage and everything in it were taken.

We had it scheduled for a year, but we lost our bags, Daisy said of her trip to Ibiza with co-star and best friend Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby Thomas.

“Our phones and our bags got stolen, everything got stolen,” the soap actress said, “and I was just worried about my phone because it had everything on it.”

But that was kind of great, she continued, “because we didn’t have a phone for one night, so we just kind of lived our life, it was the best feeling.”

Daisy is currently involved in her most dramatic plotline to date as a result of Amelia, 15, learning she was expecting.

The actress has joined ITV’s mental health initiative Britain Get Talking, which aims to inspire people to take care of their mental health by interacting with others.

She said that given that Amelia feels like she has nowhere to turn, her current predicament is relevant to the campaign.

She’s just 15 and has no one to speak to, so that’s why I think it fits in really nicely with the commercial, the blonde beauty said. “She’s got this entire vulnerable side coming out now.

Daisy acknowledged that she has received several messages from teen mothers who think she has handled the story appropriately after being asked if her pregnancy plotline had elicited a response from viewers.

“I’ve had a lot of reaction from young people because I wanted to do this right for the young adolescent parents in particular,” Daisy said to the GMB star. “I’ve had tons of texts assuring me that I’m doing it right.”

The ITV actress continued, “That’s what I’m doing this for, it’s for them.”
