Emmerdale 50th: Key character to be jailed for life after shock crime
The 50th anniversary has a huge spoiler, according to Emmerdale executives.
This October, the ITV serial will mark its 50th anniversary with a full month of festivities.

A significant month of drama will be a component of the major event, with a surprising incident at its center.
One villager could face a life sentence as a result of the life-altering incident.
According to executive producer Jane Hudson, “When we get to the end of October, it might be the end of our celebrations, but we will be finishing that month with a plot that launches another major story, which could result in one of our characters spending the rest of their lives in prison.
“I won’t say anything else to you.
“We are making sure that, especially for one of our families, when our celebration month finishes, it’s really just the start of a whole new chapter.”
Although Jane declined to provide specifics, she did hint that a murder might occur during the significant month.
She informed Entertainment Daily and other members of the press that “a murder is always a possibility in Emmerdale.”
“This is Emmerdale, known for its homicides.
A murder is planned for Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary.
“I’ll be evasive and you know I won’t answer these questions. But since it’s Emmerdale, a murderer is almost always waiting around the next bend.
