EastEnders story editor promises “epic” Christmas episodes after NTA win

According to story editor Lawrie Jordan, the Christmas episodes of EastEnders will be “epic.”

Six of Walford’s women were previously spotted in a clip from this year’s Christmas episode standing over the body of an unnamed guy. The BBC soap is now airing a major flashforward storyline.

Although the identity of the victim has not yet been made public, Jordan gave fans a little taste of what to anticipate from episodes later this year after the show won three major awards at yesterday night’s (September 5) NTAs.

The editor of the story tweeted, “Three gongs!” “So happy for our incredibly hardworking and inventive team. To bring you the finest version of this event we can, people are working day and night.

We appreciate each and every vote for us.Keep watching because Christmas 2023 is going to be incredible.

The six stars of the narrative, Letitia Dean, Diane Parish, Gillian Taylforth, Lacey Turner, Balvinder Sopal, and Kellie Bright, reproduced the outfits from the storyline’s commercial shoot on the red carpet at the NTAs as a clever allusion to the plot.

On the red carpet, a few of the male cast members of the show also donned cufflinks as a nod to the unidentified victim.

In a trailer released this week, the story’s most recent twist—which connects events to Stacey Slater’s shocking realization that Theo Hawthorne has been stalking her—was hinted at.

The clip has Stacey in a red dress anxiously glancing at a broken mirror with the line: “In a flash, everything changes.”
