EastEnders Ruby Allen lies again over Stacey Slater police investigation

In EastEnders, Ruby Allen has lied once again about her rival Stacey Slater’s police investigation.

Stacey’s mother Jean had begged Ruby to drop the charges because she was dying of cancer, and the new lies were revealed in a double bill on Thursday night (March 25).

Ruby did make an appointment with DS Barnes, later promising Jean that she would apply for the complaint to be dismissed. Jean couldn’t help but share the news with Stacey and her lawyer, ‘Thin Cilla,’ because it gave her a false sense of hope.

Stacey was skeptical that Ruby would follow through with her word, particularly because the lawyer had just gotten her to accept a plea deal that included six months in prison.

Ruby had legitimate concerns during a visit to her gynecologist with Martin, where she was diagnosed with endometriosis, a recurrent disease that may cause pelvic discomfort, bowel and bladder disorders, and irregular cycles, among other things.

Although the seriousness of Ruby’s condition will be revealed over the coming months, Ruby responded to the meeting by calling DS Barnes and canceling their conversation.

She later told a traumatized Jean that she’d done everything she could for the cops, but the charges were too far along in the court process to be dismissed.

Jean had to break the bad news to Stacey that she would be going to jail after all, but her daughter put on a brave face and assured her concerned mother that she would be back in time for Christmas.

When it came time for Martin and Stacey to tell Lily that her mother was leaving, Stacey’s facade crumbled and she ran screaming from the house.

Martin looked all over the Square for his ex-wife, but Ruby was the one who spotted her sobbing in the alley. Rather than calling Martin to inform him of Stacey’s whereabouts, she chose to leave her foe to weep alone.

Next week, Stacey will discover her fate in tense scenes, putting Lily in a difficult position as she prepares to live without her mother for the near future.
