EASTENDERS Adam Woodyatt looks unrecognisable in trilby hat, shades, and bushy beard after soap exit

Ian Beale couldn’t tell who EASTENDERS Adam Woodyatt was as he posed in a trilby hat and shades, his big bushy beard on display.

Since separating from his wife of 22 years, Beverley Sharp, the 52-year-old actor is now taking a break from the BBC One soap and staying in a motorhome.

He also proudly posed for a selfie while on a “staycation” in Dorset, where he was enjoying a beach stroll.

Adam is wearing the eye-catching hat and sunglasses in the photo, as well as a zipped-up black puffer jacket to stay warm.

With the breathtaking beach view behind him, the star smiles for the camera and captions the photo clearly, “Beach stroll.”

When Adam unveiled his new beard on the show, viewers were taken aback.

Last month, Adam surprised fans by debuting his new beard on social media, despite the actor’s onscreen alter ego being notorious for his clean-shaven appearance.

Adam seems to be totally overhauling his reputation while visiting the country during his 10-month break from EastEnders.

He frequently posts photos from his daily bike rides, which he began after co-star Jake Wood assisted him in achieving his fitness goals.

Adam recently announced that he had purchased a four-wheeled home in preparation for an upcoming play’s UK tour.

After the show’s premiere date was pushed back from January to July, Adam wanted to take advantage of the extra time by traveling, explaining that he purchased the motorhome to avoid having to stay in hotels.

Last August, Adam announced the end of his marriage, with a rep for the actor announcing they had agreed to divorce the year before.

Jessica and Samuel, who were born in 1998, are the couple’s grown children.

Since joining the soap for the first episode in 1985, Adam became the longest-serving cast member.

In January, his character Ian was last seen on television, walking around Walford in a daze after his best friend-turned-wife Sharon attempted to kill him.
