Corrie’s Sally Carman supported by fans as she breaks silence after social media absence

After revealing she was taking a vacation from social media, Sally Carman of Coronation Street received encouragement from her followers and fellow cast members.
The Abi Franklin star announced on February 23 that she was taking a sabbatical from social media on Instagram.
At that time, she published a graphic with the statement, “Taking a bit of a break from social media for the next few weeks,” and a red heart emoji.
At the time, many were quick to wish Sally well and give their support; some even inquired as to how she was doing.
But as of today (April 13), Sally has returned to Instagram and broken her quiet.
Sally explained her choice to log out for a few weeks by posting a screenshot of an article about her “sad” absence from social media.
Sally wrote in the caption, “Not at all depressed, just giving up social media for Lent. Anyway, I’m back now and have already seen fungi grow on a toilet paper roll. I’ve missed Instagram.

Sally is well-known for playing Abi in the adored soap opera centered in Manchester; in fact, she is wed to a co-star in real life.
Sally is wed to Joe Duttine, who portrays Tim Metcalfe in the soap, off the cobbles.
In the soap opera, Sally’s character Abi is dating Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), but Sally’s character Tim is married to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor).
