This week on Coronation Street, Stu Carpenter decides to locate his long-lost daughter after being persuaded to do so by Yasmeen.

Zeedan receiving a call from a friend in Athens triggers Stu’s memories of his daughter and his own family’s vacations there.

When will Stu locate his daughter? The waiting and watching will have to do.

Bill Fellows has gained fame as Stu Carpenter since appearing on Coronation Street in 2021, but did you know that he was a huge TV icon before stepping onto the cobblestones?

Bill made his television debut in 1982 playing a character named Eric in Scene. Since then, he has starred in some of the largest shows in the world, including a comedy hit that won an Emmy.

In the Apple television series Ted Lasso from 2020 to 2021, Bill played George Cartrick opposite A-list actors like Jason Sudeikis.

Additionally, from 2012 to 2013, he portrayed Bernie in the fantasy series Wolfblood, and in a 2010 episode of Downton Abbey, he played Joe Burns.

After playing Mr. Rivers in the 1989 CBBC series Byker Grove and Jerry Jekyll in the 1995–1996 CBBC hit Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde, he also rose to fame as a children’s television icon.

Along with major TV dramas like A Touch Of Frost, Clocking Off, Waking The Dead, Inspector George Gently, Landgirls, and Broadchurch, Bill has also appeared in a number of other popular series.

Given that he has appeared in a number of competing shows over the years, it appears that he has also always had his eye on the soap operas.

He debuted in Holby City as Frank Bridger in 2002, then seven years later, in 2009, he made a brand-new appearance as Rob Landis.

Not only that, but he also had numerous roles in the BBC hospital drama Casualty from 1993 to 2017 and numerous appearances in Doctors from 2003 to 2020.

With such a successful career, it is not surprising that Bill Fellows has been a well-known face on our screens for so many years. Time will tell what will happen in his most recent role as Stu Carpenter sets out to find his daughter in Coronation Street.

However, the actor previously revealed to The Metro that Stu is in store for a significant storyline: “I can’t reveal the game, but I think it’ll bring up a lot of awareness about something.

Added him: “He has some sort of criminal history, which the audience is aware of, but no one can identify it.

When it does publish, it will be a compelling story.
