Following the unusual social media posting of Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Brown on Coronation Street, and his two children, many fans of the show have expressed similar sentiments.

As long-time viewers of the soap opera are aware, Sam has played Chesney for a significant twenty years, having first appeared as a small youngster.

Sam, 30, and his wife Briony have a son, Sonny James, 2, and a daughter, Daisy Josephine, born in May of last year. Sam publishes images on Instagram much less frequently than some of his soap opera co-stars, but on Tuesday he shared some sweet family photos with his 125,000 followers.

The four-person family appeared to have had a great time on their excursion to Grange-over-Sands.
