Sally Dynevor of Coronation Street has tweeted a sweet tribute to her husband in honor of his “big” birthday today.
Sally, who portrays a character with the same name on the beloved soap opera, has long been a fan favorite and has been a part of numerous tragic plotlines.
Mrs. Metcalfe, née Webster, served as mayor of Weatherfield, was wed three times, and even received a prison sentence.
Some viewers might not be aware that Tim Dynevor, Sally’s husband in real life, worked as a scriptwriter for one of Corrie’s competitors up until 2016. His father, former Coronation Street director Gerard Dynevor, was nominated for a BAFTA in 2008 for his work on Emmerdale.
In 2021, the couple will commemorate their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple spoke with OK! I’d like to go on another trip, but with Tim. We traveled to the Maldives after I finished my cancer treatment, and I’d quite like to go back there. Well, we’ve kept to our vows so there’s no need to renew them.
The actress formerly used her maiden name, Whittaker, in her professional life; but, after being diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and entering remission, she made the decision to change her name. I kept the Whittaker moniker since everyone knew me by that name, but it didn’t seem to matter much anymore. I want to be Mrs. Dynevor, not Sally Whittaker.
Tim and I have three kids together: Phoebe, Harriet, and Samuel. I just wanted to have the same name as my family.
Tim turned 60 on Thursday, and his devoted wife celebrated with a sweet Instagram message. “Happy Big Birthday. You’re the best and we love you. @dynevortim,” she captioned a photo of Tim.
Co-stars from Corrie raced to wish Tim well. Actresses Sally Ann Matthews, who portrays Jenny on the Cobbles, and Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, both wished actor Dynevor Tim a happy birthday and a wonderful day.
