Kelly Neelan, a resident of Coronation Street, was devastated to learn that Gary Windass was responsible for the death of her father Rick.
Kelly thought her mother Laura Neelan was behind his death for months before realizing the truth after viewing photos taken on her camera the night Rick was allegedly slain.
Kelly will confront Gary about his lying in upcoming episodes, which will result in her departure.
Kelly will contact an old friend of her father’s and offer him a sizable sum of money if he kills Gary.
Following her engagement party, Kelly informs Gary she is certain he murdered her father before leaving the event.
Gary is approached by Kieron and placed in the back of a van as he runs after her.
As Kelly offers Kieron his money once the soap opera villain is dead, Gary is struck senseless.
Gary is forced to dig his own grave after Kieron takes him to the scene of Rick’s murder.
Gary’s situation appears to be over, but Kieron later confronts Kelly and admits he also intends to kill her.
By following Kelly’s phone, Gary and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) quickly locate her at a shuttered mill.
Kieron, who intends to make it appear as though it was a murder-suicide, is with Kelly on the rooftop.
When the teen realizes how disastrously her scheme has failed, she is appalled.
Gary appears and requests that Kieron kill him as opposed to pushing her off the roof like he is about to do.
The audience will hear a gunshot, but they won’t know who was shot until they are on the edge of their seats.
Kelly’s departure from Weatherfield is still to be determined, but actress Millie thought the moment was perfect.
I don’t have any duties, she said. Even though I don’t have children or a mortgage to pay, I’m nonetheless grateful to be living at home.
“I decided to just see what else the world has, I thought. That would be excellent if it does, wouldn’t it?
“I just reasoned that because I’m still young, I might as well see what happens.
The actress admitted that it wasn’t an easy choice, but she had to follow her instincts because “Corrie is a home. The easiest way to put it is that it’s a home.
“I thought I had to go because I’m so young.
“I had to just go with it and see what happened,” the decision-maker said. “If I didn’t make it, it would always be in the back of my mind.”
“Are you sure?” my mother and father asked, she continued. It’s such a safe place, you’re doing great, and your plots are fantastic.
“I know, but I have to believe my gut, I have to trust my instincts,” I said.
In the coming week, viewers will witness the conclusion of her leaving plot.
