Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer to befriend fellow addict as she hides drug use

As she meets the recovered addict for the first time, Cassandra Plummer (Claire Sweeney) of Coronation Street might end up entangling Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) in her web of deceit and drug usage.

Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman), who had been attempting valiantly to wean Cassie off the drugs, returned to Weatherfield and told Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) that she was his mother.

Tyrone was enraged that he had been kept in the dark his entire life and didn’t want to interact with them.

Tyrone, on the other hand, recently made the decision that he needed to get to know Cassie for his own good and that he would form his own opinions on her.

His choice might wind up dividing his family, putting Abi in a precarious position as they meet for the first time, and leaving Cassie inconsolable.

According to official spoilers, Tyrone will introduce Cassie to Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) in upcoming scenes.

He goes on to say that Abi is also in recovery from drug addiction, but Cassie rushes off in rage since he put her in that situation.

Will the stress of meeting Abi drive Cassie into a downward spiral once more, destroying her relationship with Tyrone?

Could Cassie pick up on Abi’s frailty and take her down the dark path that she has fought so hard to avoid?

In the episode that aired on Friday night, Cassie stated that she had moved to South Africa with a lover after giving birth to Tyrone. This boyfriend turned out to be very controlling, and he forbade her from getting in touch with her relatives in the UK.

The “total mess” she had become, she continued, was mostly due to her mother Evelyn and their strained relationship.

Cassie explained that she began drinking at age 12 and began doing drugs at age 15, attributing her behavior to being a timid girl raised by argumentative parents.

Tyrone was also taken aback when Cassie confessed that Evelyn had accused her of causing her father’s brain hemorrhage by stressing him out.

Even though they got along, Tyrone was still trying to understand why she left him and confessed that Evelyn had misled him about her lack of desire for him.

He was quickly won over by Cassie, and they were soon living together to get to know one another better.

Evelyn was worried that Cassie would live with Hope Dobbs (Isabella Flanagan), Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor), and Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine), but Tyrone reassured her that they were going to Norwich to visit their mother Fiz Dobbs.

Tyrone disclosed that she wasn’t wanted in their home and that he needed to decide how to feel about his mother on his own because he felt like she could watch them.

Evelyn later revealed to Roy Cropper (David Neilson) her suspicions that Cassie was still doing drugs and would take advantage of Tyrone’s kind nature.

Evelyn’s fears turned out to be true when Cassie reached into her bag while attempting to keep the contents from Tyrone.
