Nathan Graham, who starred in Coronation Street, has announced his departure from the long-running drama.
After three seasons of playing Weatherfield, the James Bailey actor will bid the character farewell in upcoming scenes. After opting to officially conclude his football career earlier this month, James will leave the cobbles.
James will be curious when his uncle Ronnie suggests that a youth club close to where partner Danny resides is seeking for a new coach as he considers his options.
Nathan, 30, expressed his gratitude to the Corrie executives for keeping his character alive. “They caused him to have a heart attack so they could have killed him,” he claimed.
I was completely aware that once you make the decision to leave, it is no longer in your control and they are free to have the character leave whatever they see fit.
Therefore, I was thrilled to learn that James had a happy ending, and it’s wonderful to know that I might return in the future to visit the family.
The “timing is right,” according to Nathan, to go and “move out of [his] comfort zone.” He acknowledged taking a particular souvenir from the Corrie dressing room as well.
I had to take his Weatherfield County shirt with his name and number on the back with me as a souvenir, he continued.
