Coronation Street star Kym Marsh responds to calls for Michelle to return in Ryan story
Despite Ryan, the son of Kym Marsh’s character on Coronation Street, experiencing a life-altering acid nightmare, Kym Marsh won’t be returning to the cobbles anytime soon.

Michelle Connor hasn’t been seen in public since her unfaithful husband Robert Preston passed away four years ago. She has since been living in Ireland, but as a worried mother, you’d think she’d be back in town right away.
When Marsh joined the Loose Women panel this week, she was questioned about the probability that Michelle will make another appearance.
“That question has been posed to me a lot! Like, ‘Where’s Michelle? He needs her,'” she remarked.
“I genuinely adore the show. It gave me a head start, and I will always love it with all of my heart, but right now I’ve been fortunate enough to be employed and busy, and I still have a lot to do before Michelle.
Take this remark with a grain of salt, though, as secret shock returns do occasionally occur in soap opera realm.
Early last year, Marsh—who portrayed Nicky Walters in the Waterloo Road revival—discussed the prospect of a Weatherfield revival.
“I love Coronation Street, it’s where I started and it gave me the biggest part of my career,” the actor said.
“As long as they don’t kill me off off-screen,” said the actor, “I have no doubt I’ll go back at some point.” He added, “I had wonderful times there, I made wonderful friends, and I loved the character of Michelle.”
