Coronation Street star Jude Riordan thanks fans for ‘always supporting’ in new opportunity
Jude Riordan, a cast member of Coronation Street, has thanked his supporters for “always supporting” him as he competes for a prize.
The St Helens-born actor for ITV, who has dazzled audiences as Sam Blakeman on the cobbles, is now nominated for another accolade. The young person has received his first British Soap Award nomination.
Jude has been nominated in the ‘Young Performer’ category for his performance in an ITV program. The student wrote on Instagram: “Playing Sam Blakeman is a JOY! If you agree, please consider voting for me in the British Soap Awards category for Best Young Performer. Are you serious?

The TV star has been nominated for other awards in addition to this one. He won the Best Newcomer Award at both the Inside Soap Awards and the National Television Awards last year.
When the 11-year-old made his Weatherfield debut in 2020 and learned that Nick Tilsley was his father, he won the hearts of Corrie viewers. Fans wished him luck right away.

Each of these categories will be subject to two rounds of public voting, the first of which is currently open and ends on April 25 at 5:00 p.m.
Votes can only be cast for one nomination in each category, and votes must be cast for each category in order to be counted. Voting for the second round begins on May 2 at 10 am and ends on June 2 at 5 pm. Five candidates will remain in the Best Leading Performer category after this.
The nominees will be announced on an as-yet-unconfirmed date, and a team of judges will decide on the remaining categories. The British Soap Awards, which will be televised on ITV at a time to be determined in June 2023, will be where the winners will be revealed.
