Robert Beck will reportedly join Emmerdale again following a 24-year absence from the ITV soap opera.

However, he’ll be making a new character his return rather than the evil Gavin Ferris.

Now, Jane Danson, a star of Coronation Street, has sent a heartfelt tribute to her husband as he re-joins the ensemble of competing soap opera Emmerdale.

The role of Gavin Ferris was portrayed by Robert Beck, who may be remembered by viewers. He joined the serial opera in 1999 and left at the end of the same year.

Bernice dated Gavin, but their relationship quickly came to an end when Bernice and Tricia saw Gavin kissing Tricia’s boyfriend, Jason.

Before opting to leave the village, he had also briefly owned the Woolpack.

After 24 years, Robert Beck will return to Emmerdale as Harry, a new character.

Corey’s commercial customer Harry will be played by Robert. Next week, Nate will quickly win him over before he realizes that Corey and Harry’s arrangement is dubious.

Soon, Nate will have to rely on the Dingles to help him escape the murky situation Harry is in.

“I am thrilled to be working on Emmerdale again, it’s a great show that I have followed for years, with a fabulous cast,” Robert said when asked about his return to the program. It’s held a special place in my heart ever since. When I worked on the show 24 years ago, I had a great time portraying Gavin Ferris.

I have a lot to thank Emmerdale for because the cast and crew were extremely hospitable and because of that job, I met my wife. I’m eager to participate and collaborate with this fantastic group once more.

Jane Danson, a star of Coronation Street, paid a heartfelt ode to her Emmerdale husband Robert Beck on Instagram as he made a comeback on the soap opera.

Jane posted a picture of herself with Robert smiling in the sunshine.

“Happy birthday my love @robertbeck529.,” she wrote as the caption for the picture. Congratulations on your return to Emmerdale, too. After 24 years together, I owe Emmerdale a lot. I love you, sweetie.

She remarked that their friendship began as a result of their connections to the soap opera.
