Coronation Street star Bill Fellows “sad” over Peter Barlow exit news

When Chris Gascoyne takes a break, Bill Fellows from Coronation Street will undoubtedly miss him.

As he focuses on chances abroad, it was revealed a few months ago that the seasoned Peter Barlow actor will be taking a sabbatical from the ITV serial opera – not for the first time.

Fellows, who plays Stu Carpenter, expressed his desire to work with Gascoyne in a few scenes before leaving in response to the news, according to The Mirror.

“Bill Roache, who plays Ken, and I have already had some terrific scenes together. I’d like to do scenes with a lot of different personalities. I have to say that I absolutely enjoy working with Bill.

Chris Gascoyne is a very good friend of mine with whom I have had very little contact, but he is regretfully moving on. It’s sad, but perhaps I will still get to spend a little time with him [before he leaves], because everyone is so wonderful.

Since 2021, Ted Lasso star Fellows has been traversing Weatherfield’s cobblestone streets.

For the pantomime The All New Adventures of Peter Pan at The Alban Arena this Christmas, Gascoyne’s future plans include donning the Captain Hook garb.

The venue’s profile posted on social media that it was “delighted to announce” that Chris Gascoyne, a veteran of Coronation Street, would play Captain Hook in The All New Adventures of Peter Pan this season.

Chris Gascoyne is well-known for playing Peter Barlow in Coronation Street, the most popular soap opera in Britain, where he has successfully led a number of high-profile storylines. With breathtaking sets, gorgeous costumes, and an all-star ensemble, this promises to be our most spectacular pantomime yet. The entire family should to see this performance.
